Interview with Jewelry Designer Gina Nigrelli of Jules Smith Designs

Her collections tell the story of a fashion forward soul bridging the gap between metropolitan
trends and the laid-back, organic vibe of the Caribbean. Her designs are feminine and functional with each piece rooted to her life in the islands. Her goal is to create pieces that express her adoration for the natural wonders that surround her while representing her personal style and her love for everything fashionable.

"A water sign, I am driven by the vibrancy of life, moved by the intensity of colors and inspired by everything luxe. My goals as a designer are to capture moments. When I escape to the Virgin Islands, the azure waters, lush landscaping and intense natural light create unforgettable moments. In my collections, I aim to recreate these moments. If one person gets a glimpse of that moment, I have done my job as a designer. Sharing the magnificence of natural moments is a luxury. To me, jules smith is resort, it is relaxed, it wears flip-flops, it lives luxuriously without pretension or ego, and always maintains tasteful self-assurance. My collections are infused with confidence and warmth and I stand firmly behind distinction." -Gina Nigrelli
