What's Haute | Best Fashion Websites

The Internet is filled with millions of fashion sites but who has time to filter through them all? Luckily as a fashion editor, I have the inside scoop on the hottest fashion websites on the net today that are innovative, fun and most of all worth your time.

Best Fashion News Aggregate Style http://www.news.style.com/
If you're looking for a compilation of the latest fashion news from various publications in one place then style.com's news section is the place to go. The news section features a live feed of the latest articles form fashion publications from around the world so that you can be up to date on the latest happenings.

Best Fashion Blog: New York Mag, The Cut www.nymag.com/daily/fashion/
I love reading The Cut. It is sarcastic, funny and up to the minute on the latest news from the fashion world. I love their unique take on current fashion events and trends.

Best Online Virtual Model Site: Couturious http://www.couturious.com/
I love virtual model websites and online dress up games but my favorite is Couturious. They have a huge array of items you can choose form and a plethora of models in all shapes and sizes. I really adore the choice of backgrounds which help me picture how my outfit would look with a backdrop of a tropical beach or even a swank lounge.

Best Online Fashion Boutique : Net-A-Porter http://www.net-a-porter.com/
Net-A-Porter is by far the best online fashion boutiques. Their customer service is unsurpassed and their buyers have a discerning eye for style that is unmatched. They offer the latest styles from the top stylists!

Best Fashion Social Networking Site: StyleSalt http://www.stylesalt.com/
I can't live without Facebook or Twitter but sometimes I want to meet other fashion lovers and get a feel for what others are wearing and buying so I go on stylesalt a cool new website that connects fashion enthusiasts from around the world. What's fun about the site is your friends can see the fashion items you like or buy on their style feed and other members can follow your style and become your style fans. It's a great tool that helps you follow what other fashionistas are buying and discover new trends and even buy them if you like them on the spot.

Best Celebrity Style Site: Who What Wear http://www.whowhatwear.com/
If you like celebrity style then you will love whowhatwear a fabulous newsletter that breaks down the style of celebrity each day. They offer great recommendations on items to buy and styling tips on how to get the look of your favorite celebrity. I also like their styling tip videos.

Best Beauty Tutorials: Michelle Phan http://www.youtube.com/user/michellephan
I am a beauty junkie so I always like to be up to date on the latest beauty trends, because no matter how fabulous your outfit is you need the hair and makeup to pull it all together. So I always watch YouTube makeup tutorials from various makeup artists for up to date beauty trends and tricks and my favorite artist is Michelle Phan. Her videos are very easy to follow and she always offers great product recommendations and great beauty tips!

Best Fashion Forum: The Sample Sale Forum http://www.samplesaleforum.com/
I am not a big fan of fashion forums at all but I really enjoy going on the Sample Sale Forum because it's simple, clean and not overcrowded with useless information. The site focuses on the latest sales and deals form the top designer brands. I love to read the opinions of the other members and see what they have to say about the ongoing sales or the designers before I decide to make a purchase. They also feature a shop now section where you can purchase items currently on sale at amazing prices. I was able to find a great little black dress by John Galliano with cut-outs at 75% off there so it's really a gem of a site if you like to find great deals on designer pieces.

Best Fashion Internships: FreeFashionInternships www.FreeFashionInternships.com
Free Fashion Internships is a great site to find legitimate fashion internships from top fashion industry companies. It is a great resource for those looking for a comprehensive listing of the best fashion internships in New York and Los Angeles.

The Sartorialist Book

The Sartorialist originally began as a personal blog of a small time photographer who shared his favourite street images of New York. This grew, along with its fans to include his travels and along that way we fell in love with the people he met and the places he visited. New York, Paris, Milan to name a few. Scott S the man behind the lens has finally sealed a long-awaited publishing deal with Penguin to produce a 500 page photography book based mostly on his images.
I can't wait to get my hands on it, can you?
