HM MEN: Honesty is the Best Policy

Contributed by Gabriel Wood

There is this person we all have in our lives. We may speak to this person several times a day, everyday. We may throw insults at this person whenever we are upset and dismayed. We may scream and cry to this person when we are overwhelmed with stressed. We usually confide in this person about every aspect of our lives. When we break up with a long term partner, this is the first person we report to, to seek alleviation. When we meet a brand new interest, and successfully arrange a date, this person is the last point of contact that we check everything with, and sometimes practice our cheesy lines to. This person is sad when we are sad, cries when we cry, listens when we talk, laughs when we laugh, and are always there when we need them.
What a great friend, eh? Although this friend is at our disposal every in inch of our lives, and "are uno" in every sense of the word support, they, however suck at giving correct advice, being bias one hundred percet of the time in order to please us. Whom am I referring to? The person I refer to is the person we see in the mirror (just in case you haven't already figured that out).

Over the next couple of weeks, we will be correcting one of the issues told to us in the mirror that can create a false sense of surety.

The Date, and What to Wear.

The misconception faced by many males is that suits are all the same. No, they are certainly not. That 3 button pin stripe piece you place on your body to that mundane place you call work, will not be suitable.

Invest some of that hard earned Christmas bonus into something I like to call "THE COOL SUITE." Here is a smart, casual slim fit two-piece suit to show off your lunch time gym physique, or to disguise that lunch time beer physique.

Slim fits are really great. Unlike the misconceptions of practicality, I find that they actually allow better freedom of movement. So you can smoothly sip your Soco on the rocks with ease.

Now that we have the "cool suit", one needs a fitting shirt to accompany it. Stay with the black theme by wearing this Black John Francomb slim fit shirt. Single cuffed shirts are a good option when going out socially. It accommodates the option of wearing a tie or just keeping an open button. In this case we are keeping an open button.

In the world of fashion, it is sometimes said that less is more. It only takes the smallest hint of color to declare style. Place this Christmas red saturn pocket square in your suit breast pocket. Your date will appreciate your taste for detail. It will suggest to her that you are attentive yet mysterious.

Females generally do not like men to out dress them. So, keep it simple with this pair of black laced shoes. Simple, yet contemporary. Ask the Missus pointed lace ups.

Now you are ready for your dateI I can only equip you with the clothes to insure a good presentation. A good date depends entirely on you not cocking it up.
