DVF FW10 Fashion Show Review

There are some designers who remain eternal fashion figures. And the likes of Miuccia Prada and Diane Von Furstenberg, do no wrong. Ever. This FW2010 season, at New York Fashion Week, she did not disappoint.

Diane reiterated the fact that you really can be feminine and masculine fabulously at the same time, in the same outfit.
We also saw a lot of creams, blacks, metallic, especially golds, limes and jewel studding. We also saw a plethora of velvet, ruched silk, tweed, felt, organza, Georgette and chiffon. The colors popped beautifully, giving it a wearable allure while also being ridiculously chic and high end.

There were gorgeous metallic tweed jackets, Pucci-esque chiffon dresses like the one pictured above, and true to form, some unusual prints.

Accessories were minimal, keeping the focus on the clothes. Hair and make-up was relatively simple as well, as it is at most DVF shows. The coin embossed navy dress on Abbey Lee Kershaw was tres magnifique. All in all, a raging success. But what less would we expect from Diane?
