Naeem Khan FW10 Collection | Simply Amazing

Naeem Khan received a standing ovation for his FW10 collection, and there is no question why. Khan presented one of his strongest collections of all time, doing what he does best, interlacing Indian glamour with New York sophistication. I personally want to live in every piece from the collection. You can view the entire collection via New York Magazine, click here.

DVF FW10 Fashion Show Review

There are some designers who remain eternal fashion figures. And the likes of Miuccia Prada and Diane Von Furstenberg, do no wrong. Ever. This FW2010 season, at New York Fashion Week, she did not disappoint.

Diane reiterated the fact that you really can be feminine and masculine fabulously at the same time, in the same outfit.
We also saw a lot of creams, blacks, metallic, especially golds, limes and jewel studding. We also saw a plethora of velvet, ruched silk, tweed, felt, organza, Georgette and chiffon. The colors popped beautifully, giving it a wearable allure while also being ridiculously chic and high end.

There were gorgeous metallic tweed jackets, Pucci-esque chiffon dresses like the one pictured above, and true to form, some unusual prints.

Accessories were minimal, keeping the focus on the clothes. Hair and make-up was relatively simple as well, as it is at most DVF shows. The coin embossed navy dress on Abbey Lee Kershaw was tres magnifique. All in all, a raging success. But what less would we expect from Diane?

NYFW SS10 | J Mendel

J. Mendel revokes images of fabulous eveningwear and stunningly soft furs. This collection did not disappoint. It was all luxe fabrics, intricate detailing and gorgeous overlays. What was new? Plenty. Sculptural tulle was pretty big. The fabrics, you ask? Organza, chiffon, and huge cascading frills that would give any million dollar bride a complex. There was a lot of tweed in the pegged pants that gave a little more finesse to the collection.

The colors were on the paler, more demure side- peaches, creams, pale blues, jades, beiges, greys, pearly whites, pale browns and sumptuous yellows were all taken notice of and gawked at. The shoes were iridescent and classy.

The accessories were lust worthy but did not draw attention away from the clothes. Clearly, Mendel, the French coutourier extraordinaire has outdone himself yet again.

Douglas Hannant is by far one of my new favorites. His collection was chic, fabulous and most of all extremely glam. (Images courtesy of Getty)
