This Parisinne department store is the mecca for fashion-lovers worldwide. This elegant and innovative store first opened in 1865. To this day, Printemps remains to be one of the most exquisite shopping experiences imaginable. With a multilingual staff that is fluent in ten different languages, a personalized shopping experience is possible no matter where you're from! The shoe department houses over 90,000 pairs of shoes, and with that immense selection it's difficult to not find pair you absolutely love. You can easily spend a whole day there and even try one of the six restaurants within the store. I left Printemps with hands filled with bags and a glowing smile on my face (if you wish they can even deliver your bags to your hotel at your convenience).

With a Japanese influenced space, the French love to make things interesting. Famous for their "Eyes Wide Shut" party, you would never find yourself bored here. Especially because the most seductive part of the place is the breathtaking view of the Parisian skyline. Sex & the City fanatics would notice that this is where Carrie met Alexander's ex-wife towards the end of the series. Downside? Trying to get in will be highly competitive...

58 Tour Eiffel. "During the day it's a picnic in the sky, at night it's a restaurant to look up to." It's one of my favorite restaurants in the world, and it just opened this April. Don't forget to make a reservation the next time you are in Paris. You'll fall in love. I know I did.

Carine Roitfeld the editor-in-chief of French Vogue’s career began when she was 18 years old, after being scouted in Paris by a photographer’s assistant. However her modelling did not take off and she began writing at French ELLE. It was then she decided that styling was something of an interest for her and she began freelance styling as-well as working as the stylist for ELLE.

Carine met the famous Mario Testino during a children’s fashion shoot for Italian Vogue Bambini which included her daughter Julia Restoin Roitfeld as a model and began to make important contacts of which she would keep for many years to come. Working more closely with Testino, they became a pair doing advertising and spreads for French and American Vogue, of which helped both of them to grab the attention of the industry for their eye for style.

Carine was then offered the position as a consultant and part-time muse for Tom Ford whilst he reined at Gucci, then Yves Saint Laurent for several years. Finally she was approached by Conde Nast’s international Chairman Jonathan Newhouse to become the editor-in-chief of French Vogue in 2001.

Through her career she contributed to styling the images of Gucci, Missoni and Versace as-well as giving her endless support to unknown labels and new trends. Once accepting the role, Carines management of the magazine proved quite the success improving sales and number of readers increasingly. For years there have been rumours of a rift between fellow Editor-in-chief of Vogue Anna Wintour however Carine was quick to disagree and has been seen frequently with Anna at past events. fter 7 years as the Editor of one of the most exclusive magazines in the business, she is still as successful as ever, all while wearing Balmain.

I'm Feeling Fafi

M-A-C has done it again. Last Spring I was going mad for the Barbie Loves MAC collection and now I'm swooning over the Fafinette collection. Fafi the French artist who has made her fame conjuring up curvaceous, sexy and edgy characters called Fafinettes, has joined forces with MAC to create this fabulous new collection. Fafi's look is all about color, provocation, and fun. I especially adore this collection for two reasons. The first being that it's extremely french with a modern twist. Second being it's fresh, young and in sync with the Spring 08 artsy trends. The line ranges from violets and pinks to creams and blues. The products are indeed strong but the consistency is virtually weightless. This is one collection to get your hands on. -M.M.
