Lanvin Paris Autumn Winter 2010

Having seen these I think I will defect from Givenchy to Lanvin as my most favourite designer. I love these clothes!

Alber Elbaz has stuck to his formula of cut and shape. I would add one more word flow. Fabulous, sinous dresses. Million Dollar dresses.

There are some seriously ugly huge long jackets, cut to just above the knee and huge padded shoulders like the Michelin man in some of the AW 2010 collections. Here the padding is elegant and wearable.

This is a stupendous gorgeous coat, clings to the shape and adds more curves lovely....

The bat dress returns- all black leather gloves and boots, short, but not overly so, with padded shoulders.

Even at Lanvin there was the bad and the ugly. This is just plain unwearable on small people like me! On a 6` model it is not great. Ask yourself is she wearing the coat or is the coat wearing her?? Gabrielle Teare is the Leading London Personal Stylist

London Fashion Week | Hakaan | Staggeringly Sexy Lara Stone

At London Fashion Week I watched Haakan delight and stun the fashion pack. Magical, sizzlingly sexy, dynamite clothes. Imagine having a body like Lara Stone!

Here is Kate Moss who was sitting in front of me...

Lara is so so so sexy! I don’t get the size 0 thing. I am too curvy to go there. Look how wonderful curves are. Amazing! David Walliams was sitting in front of me roaring his approval. Lucky man!

These are textured leggings, clinging to every curve. Wonderful tailored coat.

Lucia Pieroni in makeup created very simple creamy skin, again a little bit masculine, little bit feminine. Smoky eye shadow, nude lips. Lovely.

Backstage Luigi Mureno wearing a fabulous Givenchy Jumper with a dazzling smile created hair that was androgenous. Gelled on top and feminine with volume at the bottom. Here is superstar Marco Testa smiling as he creates pure magic. Girls if you want amazing hair this is where to get it!

Marc Jacobs NY Fashion Week AW2010 | Fall Winter 2010 New york Fashion Week

Marc Jacobs wowed New York with a simple elegant collection. However, I am not so keen on socks with shoes to my eye looks wrong.

This is immensely flattering, sparingly cut tailoring. Lovely, Spartan greys will warm winter skies.

This however is not flattering. As a Personal Stylist when you make tall, slim models look short and fat my clients won’t buy it and neither would I. A Line skirts mid calf lengths all serve to round out the body not a good look ever for anyone under 5`10”.

New York like London has been freezing and so once again furs and velvets dominate the collections.We need to be warm.

To finish the show, long glittering evening gowns in silver, yellow and ecru. Delicious.
