I-D Magazine cuts back

Just in, we can exclusively tell you that I-D magazine has just announced in London they will be cutting back on the number of issues published. The magazine will now publish 6 issues per year, cutting back from 12. Now we've always been a fan of the more avante-garde I-D but this latest news is coming at a shock, will it be Vogue next?

ELLE France does blank canvas

Whilst the rest of the magazine world is telling us what to wear, what to buy and what to look like. French ELLE is telling us the opposite, celebrities and models have swapped foundation and Haute Couture for natural faces and simple clothing. The result? a fresh set of photos which make me, the reader, feel a lot better about not looking like Gisele every morning.

POP Magazine's new Editor in Chief

Following the departure of Katie Grand, legendary stylist and editor-in-chief at POP, the rumour of her replacement was flying and everyone from creative directors to fashion editors at different publications were sought out to take over. However after much confusion it was decided POP would be temporarily discontinued till a appropriate new team, Katie took the old one with her, and a editor-in-chief was appointed. Yesterday it was annouced that Dasha Kova, designer of Kova & T and russian socialite has been appointed editor-in-chief and her new team includes the likes of Julia Roitfeld. Some might argue this isn't a great choice, afterall what does a russian socialite know about editing? Nothing. However it is clear that the choice was meant to cause publicity, controversy and of course attention, all of which is vital when your re-starting a fallen magazine.

Channeling Marchesa, Bazaar March 2009

We're big fans of Marchesa. The line and the lady with the most outrageous style icon of all time who inspires the line, Marchesa LuisaCasati. So we were truly inspired by the Bazaar's March editorial spread which features Marchesa designer, Georgina Chapman channeling Marchesa Luisa Casati, while modeling her line Marchesa's latest fashions.
